What are Cumberland Presbyterians?
The short answer is that we are fancy Baptists. Cumberland was once a subordinate jurisdiction (presbytery) in the Presbyterian denomination of the early 1800s. We separated over differences of doctrine (predestination vs free will) and the education of ministers. Here is our Confession of Faith, a document that clarifies our doctrine.
ABOUT US

HISTORY
A Nashville, Arkansas newspaper in 1884 mentioned that Robert & Hattie Penney granted to John Penney, W.T. Locke and Neville Hopson two acres of land where Falls Chapel CPC was to be built and that Clayton Falls gave material for the construction to the church. This is the site where the church, rebuilt in the 1960s, still stands. We have a hand-painted relic hanging in our fellowship hall which reads, “Falls Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church First Session meeting June 19, 1887 W.E.Dooley, Mod., W.G. Willborn, Clerk Elders: W.G Willborn, N. Hopson, James Penney.
VALUES
Falls Chapel CPC is a fellowship dedicated to preaching the Gospel of Christ and making disciples of the nations. We preach the truth of God's word and seek to live out a genuine faith in the completed works of Jesus. We believe that the one thing that demonstrates our sincere belief that God raised Christ from the dead is our sincere, agape love for one another. From that love springs everything else that matters.

VISION
Our church exists to fulfill the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19-20. To that end, we will preach the Good News of salvation, equip believers to grow as sanctified warriors, strengthen families, and expand God's kingdom in our town, county, state and even to the uttermost parts of the world!
